As of April 6, 2005 there were 937 clinical confirmed cases of West Nile Virus and 10 asymtomatic for a total of 947 cases.  These cases include seven deaths. West Nile Virus is reported as having been causative in four of the deaths and contributory in the remaining three.  Most people with West Nile fever will fully recover; however, people with serious symptoms of the disease may develop longer lasting effects.
