mosquitoes

Saskatchewan’s municipalities, rural municipalities and First Nations governments are eligible for matching funding for 2007 mosquito control programs. See the application information below. The Population Figures by Community link provides covered population (eligible per capita) numbers.

New: Note that the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) has developed a mosquito larvicide-purchasing program aimed at reducing product costs for smaller municipalities. The program provides the opportunity to purchase smaller quantities of product at bulk prices, making larviciding more cost effective to smaller communities.

Purchase of these products is considered an eligible expense under the Saskatchewan Health West Nile virus mosquito control cost-share program.

For more information, contact SUMA at (306) 525-4385, fax 525-4373.
