Saskatchewan! Healthy people. A healthy province.

Sodium in a water supply normally results from dissolution of salt deposits. Another potential source for sodium is the water-softening process. The softening process reduces hardness by replacing calcium and magnesium with commercial sodium salts. People on sodium-restricted diets should consult with their doctor on finding alternative water sources or not use a water softener.

The aesthetic objective is set at a maximum of 300 mg/L.
