Did You Know? A vaccine against cancer? Starting in 2008-09, Grade 6 girls can receive a free vaccine that prevents HPV, which can lead to cervical cancer. Water Quality Parameters pHpH is an expression of water acidity. The lower the value, the more acidic the water is. Natural waters usually have pH values in the range of 5 to 9. Most Saskatchewan water is slightly basic (i.e. greater than 7). Corrosion effects may become significant at a pH below 6.5 and scaling may become a problem at a pH above 9.0. For this reason an acceptable pH range for drinking water is from 6.5 to 9.0. |
