Reliability and Quality for Clinical Use

Telehealth Saskatchewan continues to ensure the quality and reliability of the Telehealth equipment and network on an ongoing basis. Originally, Telehealth connections were made using six simultaneous phone calls between the Telehealth units that took up to 90 seconds to connect for each clinic. Today, an instantaneous connection can be made over Saskatchewan Health's dedicated secure network. Telehealth is delivered over Community Net a separate private internet connection. This drastically increases the efficiency and security of using Telehealth for clinical applications. Telehealth Saskatchewan continues to invest in videoconferencing technology by staying current on the latest technology and making strategic investments in leading-edge technology. As well, Telehealth Saskatchewan performs annual evaluations of our clinical services to ensure we are providing optimal levels of care. The following is a summary of our latest evaluation results:

  • 100% of patients indicated they would use Telehealth again and recommend it to others.
  • 100% of respondents indicated that they were comfortable using Telehealth, it was appropriate use of technology for their cases, met their objectives, and that they would use it again for similar cases.
