Saskatchewan! Healthy people. A healthy province.

Pediatric and neonatal transport teams provide specialized care during the transport of ill and injured infants and children to the major hospitals in Regina and Saskatoon. The pediatric teams are staffed by a registered nurse and registered respiratory therapist. Neonatal teams are a combination of registered nurse/registered nurse or registered nurse/registered respiratory therapist.

Pediatric Transport Service

The Saskatchewan Pediatric Transport Service was established in 1998 to provide quick, coordinated access to specialized hospitals for all children throughout the province. The Pediatric Transport Service consists of two teams, one based out of the Regina General Hospital to service the southern part of the province and one out of the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon to service the central and northern parts of the province. The teams will travel to the child, stabilize and transport the child back to either Regina or Saskatoon.
