Bonnie O’Grady, Chairperson

Bonnie O’Grady of Neilburg lives on the family farm, is involved in the livestock industry, and is Office Manager for Sandune Contracting Ltd. She is a former health-care worker, was Chairperson of the former Twin Rivers District Health Board, and was an elected member of the Executive of the Saskatchewan School Trustee Association. She served on the Joint Government/SSTA Provincial Teacher Bargaining Committee and numerous other Provincial Committees. Bonnie also has volunteer experience with many boards and clubs within the community of Neilburg.

Muriel Conacher, Vice-Chairperson

Muriel Conacher of Mervin is currently retired and was previously a manager for Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation, Turtleford Customer Service Office. She was a member of the former Twin Rivers District Health Board as well as Chair of the Twin Rivers Health Care Foundation. She is also a member of the Chiropractors’ Association of Saskatchewan board of directors. In the past she has been a member of the SGEU Bargaining Committee as well as Chair and member of both the Turtleford Credit Union Board of Directors and the Turtleford School Division Board of Education. Muriel’s community involvement includes member of the Turtleford Health Care Advisory Committee, Turtleford Health Care Construction Committee, and Turtleford Anglican United Church.

Ben Christensen

Ben Christensen of North Battleford is a businessman and owner of Bill & Don’s Men’s Wear and Shoes in North Battleford. Ben served on the former Battlefords District Health Board from 1997-2002. He was also elected to the North Battleford Public School Board in 1988 where he served nine years, two as Vice-Chairman, and the last three years as Chairman. He has been a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society and served as Business Campaign Chairman for several years. Ben has been an active member of the Rotary Club of The Battlefords and has been a Director since 2005. Ben is on the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. During his five years, he has served two years as Vice-Chairman and is currently completing his second year as Chairman.

Donald Duncan

Donald Duncan of Lloydminster, Alberta was the Director of Education (Superintendent) of the Lloydminster Public School Division from 1988 to 2004. He has several years of experience with governance boards and is knowledgeable about government policies and procedures in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.

David Esterby

David Esterby of Meadow Lake was employed by the Meadow Lake School Division and led the Community School program and budget development in Meadow Lake. He previous worked with Saskatchewan Social Services in delivery and management of income security, family services and young offender services. He continues his involvement in community activities and development.

Flora Fiddler

Flora Fiddler of Meadow Lake is an Organization Development and Management Officer with Meadow Lake Tribal Council. She has completed the Health Care Administration course, was involved in health care governance as a member of the Northwest District Health Board from 1996 to 2001, and worked with Meadow Lake First Nations health services since 1991.

Vicki Helm

Vicki Helm of Lloydminster is currently self-employed and provides bookkeeping and accounting services. She has been a member as well as chair of the Lloydminster District Health Board, and is also a member of the Northwest Appeal Board for Saskatchewan Social Services. Vicki has been involved with various other community activities. 2007 marks the sixth year that Vicki has been a Director for the Synergy Credit Union in Lloydminster.

Joan Hill

Joan Hill of Goodsoil is currently Manager of Saskatchewan Housing in Goodsoil. She was a member of the former Northwest District Health Board and was previously Chairperson of the former Goodsoil Union Hospital Board. She is presently treasurer for the Band Parents Association and Minor Hockey and was also treasurer for the Parks and Recreation Association Inc. for four years. She was a past councilor for the Village of Goodsoil before moving to the farm.

Glenn Wouters

Glenn Wouters of Meota spent his career as a teacher in rural and urban school divisions and then spent over twenty years working for the Province of Saskatchewan. Glenn ended his career as Regional Director of Education for the northwest region of Saskatchewan. Since retiring in 2000 Glenn continues to do educational contracts for school divisions and/or First Nation communities. Besides his career activities Glenn continues to be actively involved in his community, presently serving as the Mayor of the Resort Village of Metinota where he and his wife Eva have moved to begin “retirement”.

Donald Young

Donald Young of Maidstone is a self-employed businessman and farmer in northwest Saskatchewan. In 1997, Mr. Young became an elected member of the Twin Rivers District Health Board and served two years as Chairperson. He is a founding member of Maidstone Municipal Health Holdings and of Big Gully REDDA and served as Chairperson of both organizations. He was on the Board for the North Saskatchewan Laundry in Prince Albert. From 1972 to 2006 Mr. Young served on the R.M. of Eldon, as a Councillor for 12 years and as Reeve for 10 years. In the early 1970s, he also was a founding member of the Maidstone District Library Board.

Michael Zaychkowsky

Michael Zaychkowsky of North Battleford is recently retired from the credit union system after working there for 36 years. He has been involved in community activities, was Chairman of Battlefords Residential Services Incorporated and served as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the North West Catholic School Division.
