The Mamawetan Churchill River Regional Health Authority is responsible for the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of health services it is to provide within its health region and within any other area that may be directed by the minister. In carrying out its responsibilities the regional health authority shall:
A regional health authority board consists of not more than 12 members appointed by the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, who also designates the chair and vice-chair.
Members of regional health authorities should be prepared to meet regularly, usually once per month. Regional health authorities may also strike subcommittees on particular issues and members should be prepared to participate.
