Saskatchewan! Healthy people. A healthy province.

Saskatchewan has a new process for patients being referred for hip or knee surgery. It is expected to shorten waits to see a specialist and improve patient and family centred preparation for surgery. Patients are referred to a Multi-Disciplinary Clinic where they are assessed, prepared for surgery and educated about what to expect after surgery. The clinics also help identify patients who may not need surgery.

Family doctors can refer patients directly to any one of four clinics located in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert or Moose Jaw, using a physician referral form.
