Saskatchewan! Healthy people. A healthy province.

Among the many health research organizations in Canada, these have a pariticular connection with the Saskatchewan health system.

Science and research policy, and research projects funded by the federal government department.

The institute funds research into patient safety. Past studies have included safety in home care, primary care, long-term care, drug safety, c. difficile, anesthesia, and safety issues for First Nations, Inuit and Métis patients.

This not-for-profit independent organization tracks data on many aspects of health and health care, with special focus on health care services, health spending, health human resources and population health. CIHI identifies national health indicators, to allow comparison of health status and health system performance between jurisdictions. Disponible en français.

The Canada Northwest FASD Research Network is made up of dispersed western and northern Canadian research professionals who collaborate and share information on research related to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

An independent Saskatchewan agency that measures and reports on quality of care in Saskatchewan, promotes improvement, and engages its partners in building a better health system.

The centre establishes links between organizations, practitioners, researchers and policy makers, disseminating research findings and offering training in health promotion practice and research.

Dedicated to improving the health status of Canadian women by supporting policy-oriented, and community-based research and analysis on the social and other determinants of women's health.

The provincial agency that funds and facilitates health research in Saskatchewan, often in partnership with other organizations. The foundation also supports research chairs in specific areas, such as causes and cure of Alzheimer's Disease and heart disease and stroke.

The Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit involves researchers from the Universities of Regina and Saskatchewan conducting research into the social factors contributing to the well-being of various groups within the population. Research covers northern and Aboriginal health, children's health and development, socio-economic determinants of health in rural populations, evaluation, and health disparities.
