A vaccine against cancer? Starting in 2008-09, Grade 6 girls can receive a free vaccine that prevents HPV, which can lead to cervical cancer.

The Health Evaluation Network (HEN) meets twice a year to promote, support and share health-related evaluation initiatives in Saskatchewan. Meetings alternate between Regina and Saskatoon.

Members include representatives from health regions, the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations, Saskatchewan Health, Community Resources and Employment, Provincial Auditors Office, Health Quality Council, Tribal Councils and other related organizations in Alberta and Manitoba.

There has been a close collaboration of education activities with the Canadian Evaluation Society.

There are no membership fees. Members are asked to contribute by sharing their evaluation experiences at meetings, or in the newsletter. Members are also asked to volunteer to chair meetings.
