Career Planning & Jobs Recruitment Grant ProgramIncentives are available for those who move to Saskatchewan to work in health care, or who take a position that is northern, rural, or hard to recruit.
Background The Relocation and Northern Rural Hard to Recruit Grant Program encourages movement to hard to recruit positions in urban and to rural and northern locations. The program was also designed to minimize lateral movement between and within health regions, unless the movement is from urban to rural or to northern or rural to northern. In exchange for any of the grants, health employees agree to provide a return in service commitment for a specified time. These programs are designed: To recruit health employees to Saskatchewan and to northern, rural and hard to recruit positions. To encourage health employees to accept positions in rural and northern Saskatchewan Health regions in a one-way stream. (A one way-stream means movement from urban to rural or northern, or from rural to northern; but not from rural to urban, or northern to rural or urban.) To support Saskatchewan Health regions and current health employees with a recruitment program that supports work life balance.
