Saskatchewan! Healthy people. A healthy province.

Saskatchewan has conducted an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Review that will provide a clear direction for EMS over the next five years.

An EMS Review Committee gathered information and opinions, and recommended a strategic vision and five-year plan for road ambulance services. Health sector organizations had the opportunity to share their views by meeting with the Committee and by providing written submissions, using an EMS Review Consultation Guide (see Related Documents below).

An Air Medical Services Review was conducted concurrently, to ensure coordination of air ambulance services with the road ambulance system.

Both reports were publicly released by the Minister of Health on November 26, 2009.  The recommendations are under consideration.
