These pages contain information on well-known diagnostic imaging types such as X-ray, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Computed Tomography (CT, CAT scan). It also includes information on lesser known imaging types, such as nuclear medicine, bone mineral densitometry (BMD), Fluoroscopy and Mammography.

This section explains what each type of exam is used for, what you can expect during your exam, and common tips on how to prepare beforehand.

This link will walk you through the process of getting a diagnostic imaging exam, from the time you first see your family doctor to the time you meet with your doctor to discuss the results.

While most questions can and should be answered by your family doctor, the contact information for some high-end imaging types (MRI, CT, BMD) is listed here to answer any specific questions that you may have that cannot be answered by your doctor.
