Did you know? Over the past five years, the number of physicians licensed in Saskatchewan rose 12.3%. Regional Health Governance AccreditationSaskatchewan Health supports the participation of regional health authorities (RHAs) and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency in undergoing the process of accreditation. The Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA) is a national organization that promotes excellence in the provision of health services and the efficient use of resources in health services organizations in Canada. It provides health services organizations with the opportunity for voluntary participation in an accreditation program based on national standards. Saskatchewan Health strongly encourages all RHAs to pursue and attain the standards set out by the CCHSA. The Council’s accreditation process evaluates all aspects of health services delivery from a client-centred perspective. The accreditation process allows RHAs to assess and compare their total organization against national quality standards so that they may achieve coordinated, responsive and appropriate programs
